- Co-Founder/President, Schools for Children of the World
Chuck Newman has concentrated on educational facility planning and design since leaving the University of Illinois in 1973. Newman Architecture has continued his passion for designing educational facilities since its founding in 1982. Chuck joined with educational facility planning and educator Dr. William DeJong and 10 other CEFPI members in 1997 to study the schools in rural Honduras. Subsequent to that trip to Honduras, Chuck and Bill founded Schools for Children of the World, a 501.c.3. not-for-profit corporation dedicated to helping communities, regions, and national governments plan, design, and build quality schools.
